Ambiq harvestKIT™ AMA3BHARV1
The harvestKIT™ AMA3BHARV1 is a versatile energy harvesting reference design platform that extends battery life by drawing energy from the environment or eliminates the need for batteries entirely by incorporating super capacitors and other energy storage elements. This sensing platform is powered by Nexperia's NEH2000BY inductorless energy harvesting PMIC.
Key features and benefits
• Nexperia NEH2000BY Power Management IC, harvesting light from a Panasonic solar panel to power the board and reduce the need for battery replacement
• Ambiq Apollo3, an ultra-low power SoC with integrated Bluetooth connectivity, to process data issued from the integrated sensors on the board
• Three 1.8 V/3.3 V microBUS click module sockets:
• TDK ICM-45605 ultra high-performance 6 Axis MEMS motion sensor
• Bosch BME688 4-in-1 environmental sensor measuring pressure, humidity, temperature, and air quality
• One available expansion socket for other sensors, a display, or additional connectivity modules (eg, Wi-Fi)
• A hybrid super-capacitor and a solid-state battery back-up
Key applications
• Remote monitoring: bridge/highway/rail health, geology, weather stations, etc.
• Building and factory automation: conditional monitoring, predictive maintenance
• Asset tracking: cargo / luggage / pets…
