Design considerations
- A single-phase or three-phase home grid connection has the greatest impact on design and topology choice, although charging speed is ultimately controlled by the vehicle's OBC / BMS capabilities
- Slower single-phase systems are ideal for overnight charging, although higher power 22 kW AC chargers can be also be useful for semi-public charging in parking spaces or office locations
- To minimize BOM cost and footprint, voltage regulator with power switch integrated in auxiliary power supply is usually adopted.
- Inrush protection circuit (NTC, varistors, etc.) should be considered to prevent potential damage when charging starts

Improve accuracy of AOI in PCB production by using modern package technology
To enhance AOI Nexperia has introduced its new lead shape which is featured in packages such as the CFP15B and CFP2-HP. Watch this video and learn how this new lead shape delivers a more uniform solder joint which is easier to detect with AOI.
