PMP23496 8 kW hot-swap for 48 V AI servers
Texas Instrument’s PMP23496 8 kW hot-swap reference design for 48V artificial intelligence servers addresses the increase in steady-state power rating for enterprise servers (5-6 kW) compared to general servers (1-2 kW), while maintaining overall form factor. Alongisde TI’s LM5066I hot-swap controller are nine PSMN2R3-100SSE ASFETs for Hotswap and Soft Start. Providing an efficient, robust and reliable input power-path-protection solution for high-power 48V server backplane systems.
Key features & benefits
- MOSFETs with a strong linear mode performance and enhanced safe operating area (SOA) are required to manage the in-rush current effectively and reliably.
- PSMN2R3-100SSE delivers very low RDS(on) and enhanced safe operating area performance in a high-reliability copper-clip LFPAK88 package.
- Nexperia offers a growing range of dedicated ASFETs for Hotswap and Soft Start
